titleOfInvention Method for degrading organic pollutant by slag
abstract A method for degrading organic pollutant by slag is disclosed. A fuel-oil contaminated medium is provided, and the fuel-oil contaminated medium has an organic pollutant. A slag powder containing an iron oxide mineral is added to the fuel-oil contaminated medium, and mixes the slag powder and the fuel-oil contaminated medium. A hydrogen peroxide is added to the fuel-oil contaminated medium that allows the iron oxide minerals to catalyze the hydrogen peroxide to perform a Fenton-like reaction, thereby generating hydroxyl radical to oxidize the organic pollutant of the fuel-oil contaminated medium.
