abstract The invention provides a pixel structure of an active matrix liquid crystal display (AM LCD) having a storage capacitor that is constructed of two capacitors connected in parallel. The storage capacitor includes a first capacitor electrode, a first dielectric layer, a second capacitor electrode, a second dielectric layer, and a pixel electrode that are stacked one other in succession. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the first capacitor electrode via a contact hole penetrating through the first and the second dielectric layers, and the contact hole is separated from the second capacitor electrode by the second dielectric layer.
