titleOfInvention | Multilayer optical film and method for producing the same |
abstract | Disclosed is a multilayer optical film which is excellent in transmittance and degree of polarization, and is prevented from entry of foreign matters between a polarizer and an optical compensation film. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a multilayer optical film. Specifically disclosed is a multilayer optical film comprising, in the following order, a long polarizer having an absorption axis in the longitudinal direction, a long optical compensation film having an indicatrix satisfying nx > ny = nz, and an optical compensation layer having an indicatrix satisfying nx = ny > nz. In this multilayer optical film, the anglebetween the slow axis of the optical compensation film and the absorption axis of the polarizer is 5-85 DEG . |
