| abstract |
This invention relates to a leather-like sheet consisted of an ultrafine fiber nonwoven fabric made of an ultrafine fiber bundle with web structure and a polymer elastic body impregnated in the inside of the web structure. The leather-like sheet has properties of following (1) to (6): (1) The ultrafine fiber bundle contains 5 to 70 ultrafine fibers having an average single tex less than 0. 5 dtex, (2) The ultrafine fiber bundle has an average tex less than 3 dtex, (3) The web is formed via accumulating ultrafine fiber bundle. (4) The mass ratio of an ultrafine fiber to a polymer elastic body is in the range of 70/30 to 40/60, (5) The polymer elastic body is in continuous form, and (6) The ratio of breaking strength on vertical/horizontal direction is 1/1 to 1.3/1, and the elongation ratio from breaking strength on vertical and horizontal direction is respectively more than 80% and the ratio on vertical/horizontal direction is 1/1 to 1/1.5. The provided leather-like sheet has a natural leather-like texture and soft appearance, and the difference between the mechanical property in vertical and horizontal directions is small. It also has a proper stretching and continuous recovering ability. |
