abstract The present invention relates to a non-contact apparatus and method for stability assessment of dental implant. The apparatus includes a dental implant, a trigger device, a receiving device and a signal processing device, wherein the dental implant includes a root body, an implant cover and an impulse generating device. The method includes steps of providing a non-contact impetus to a dental implant, generating a vibration response in response to the non-contact impetus, and analyzing the vibration response to obtain a resonance frequency of the dental implant for determining a stability of the dental implant.
