abstract | A detecting device and a detecting method are used for detecting a package unit which includes several solder balls. The detecting device includes a detecting unit and a transferring unit. The transferring unit which includes a transferring board, a socket and several fasteners is used for electrically connecting the package and the detecting unit. The socket having a slot is disposed on the transferring board, wherein the package is disposed in the slot. The fasteners penetrate the socket correspondingly to the solder ball and protrude the bottom of the slot to face the solder ball. The fasteners are movably engaged with the solder balls for electrically connecting the solder balls and the transferring board. The detecting unit detects the package through the transferring board, the fasteners and the solder balls. |
