titleOfInvention | Position detecting system for linear motor |
abstract | The present invention provides a position detecting system, which does not need strictly controlling the installation precision of sensors and can be implemented at low costs. The position detecting system for a linear motor according to the present invention comprises: a linear motor 11, having a rod 1 of which the N poles and S poles are alternately arranged in an axis direction and a plurality of coils 4 surrounding the rod 1; a magnetic sensor 12 for detecting the change of magnetic field direction of the rod 1 resulted from the relative linear motion of the rod 1 to the coils 4 and outputting sinusoidal signals and cosinusoidal signals having a 90-degree phase difference; and a position detecting circuit 13 for detecting the relative position of the rod 1 to the coils 4 according to the sinusoidal signals and cosinusoidal signals. With the magnetic sensor 12 detecting the change of magnetic field direction of the rod 1, the change of the sinusoidal signals and cosinusoidal signals outputted by the magnetic sensor 12 is small even if the rod 1 is away in distance from the magnetic sensor 12. |
