Carbon nanofiber, method for producing the same, and use of the same |
abstract |
Disclosed is (1) a carbon nanofiber containing not more than 6% by mass of Fe and not more than 3% by mass of V as metal impurities other than carbon, which does not substantially contain a metal element other than Fe and V. Also disclosed is (2) a method for producing such a carbon nanofiber, which is characterized in that a catalyst, which is obtained by loading a carbon carrier with Fe and V, and a carbon-containing compound are brought into contact with each other at a high temperature. Further disclosed are (3) a resin composite body obtained by blending such a carbon nanofiber and (4) use of such a resin composite body. The present invention enables to obtain a low-cost carbon fiber filler containing only a few metal impurities. Only a few amount of this carbon fiber filler enables to exhibit electrical conductivity. |
