titleOfInvention | Piperidine derivative |
abstract | The present invention provides a compound which is a piperidine derivative having excellent histamine receptor antagonism and is useful as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition, especially an antihistamine and the like. The piperidine derivative of the present invention has potent histamine receptor antagonism. Further, the compound of the present invention also shows low intracerebral transfer in a test for receptor binding in the brain of a mouse orally administered with the compound, therefore, it has a desirable property in terms of reducing central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness and the like. Accordingly, the piperidine derivative of the present invention is very useful as a novel antihistamine with less central nervous system side effects such as drowsiness and the like. |
