It can manufacture easily a retardation layer comprising a plurality of zones with different retardation values. A retardation substrate (10) comprises a substrate (10) and a solidified liquid crystal layer (130) that is supported by the substrate (10). The solidified liquid crystal layer (130) comprises first to third zones (130a, 130b, 130c). The first to third zones (130a, 130b, 130c) is allocated on the substrate (10) and the level of alignment of mesogen thereof is different with one another. |
