abstract Disclosed is a composite material for electrical/electronic components, wherein an insulting coating film substantially composed of a single layer is formed on at least a part of a metal base. This composite material is used as a material for an electrical/electronic component that is formed by blanking. The composite material for electrical/electronic components is characterized in that a metal layer is interposed between the metal base and the insulating coating film so that the separation width of the insulating coating film at an end portion of the composite material after blanking is less than 10 [mu]m. Also disclosed are an electrical/electronic component formed by using such a composite material, and a method for producing such a composite material for electrical/electronic components.
