abstract | Disclosed is a polycarbonate copolymer containing 0.1-50% by mole of a monomer unit represented by the formula (1) below and a monomer unit represented by the formula (2) below. The polycarbonate copolymer contains not more than 90 ppm by mass of a biphenol having a structure represented by the formula (3) below. (In the formula (1), R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6-12 carbon atoms or a halogen atom.)
