abstract This invention is to provide a dye applicable to optical filter of plasma display that contains at least one kind of cyanine having maximal absorption in the wavelength range from 560 nm to 630 nm. Therefore, the optical filter of this invention is highly durable and is capable of filtering out the impurities between 530 nm to 700 nm. Thus, the plasma display of this invention can improve the contrast and the purity of the illumination.
