abstract |
A transmission device selects and transmits all or a part from an input stream. Said transmission device includes a measuring section and an output control signal generation section. The measuring section outputs output-timing base signal and output-base clock necessary for outputting the stream, and detects the time which shows that output-timing base signal begins to output, and predicts the period in which the predetermined generated output-transmission clock should be stopped. The output control signal generation section divides the output-base clock into N-frequencies (N is an integer equal to or larger than 2) and generates the output-transmission clock, then outputs an output-timing signal that has a fixed phase relationship with the output-transmission clock, and at least a partial period of the period predicted in the measuring section is determined to be a stop period, and the generation of the output-transmission clock is stopped. On the other hand, the output phase of the output-timing signal is only delayed in such a stop period. |
