titleOfInvention | Fluorescent substance, fluorescent sheets, process for production of the fluorescent substance, and light-emitting devices made by using the substance |
abstract | To provide a phosphor material having a broad emitted light spectrum in blue color range (a peak wavelength is 400 to 500 nm), also having a wide and flat exciting belt in a near ultraviolet and an ultraviolet range, and excellent in light-emitting efficiency, light-emitting intensity and brightness. This phosphor material is characterized by being expressed by general formula: MmAaBbOoNn: Z [wherein, M is ≥ 1 kind of an element having a II valent valence; A is ≥ 1 kind of an element having a III valent valence; B is ≥ 1 kind of an element having a IV valent valence; O is oxygen; N is nitrogen; Z is ≥ 1 kind of an activator; (m) > 0; (a) ≥ 0; (b) ≥ 0; (o) ≥ 0; and (n) ≥ 0] and having < 10% changing rate of the ratio of the B element atoms based on the total number of atoms and/or < 40% changing rate of the ratio of the oxygen atoms based on the total number of atoms within a range from the surface of the particles to 2,000 nm depth. |
