abstract | The present invention relates to a 7-azaindole derivative of serotonin and the application thereof. The association strength between the 7-azaindole derivative of serotonin and a serotonin receptor is larger than that between serotonin and a serotonin receptor, and thereby the 7-azaindole derivative of serotonin can function as an effective serotonin receptor agonist or antagonist. In addition, the 7-azaindole derivative of serotonin exhibits the photophysical property of excited state proton transfer reaction, and thereby the 7-azaindole derivative of serotonin can serve as a molecular probe for investigating the interaction between serotonin and a serotonin receptor. |
