abstract An environmentally friendly hydrophobic polymeric water-repellent agent is provided. The water-repellent agent is prepared by miniemulsion polymerization. The water-repellent agent uses an extremely hydrophobic acrylic ester as a cosufactant. The cosufactant reacts with non-fluorinated monomers to form an extremely hydrophobic resin with excellent water resistance. The water-repellent agent not only is friendly to the environment, but also is widely used in many fields.
