titleOfInvention | Composition for nucleic acid transfer |
abstract | The present invention provides compositions for introducing nucleic acids with low cytotoxicity, which improves the capability of introducing short oligonucleotides and genes etc. into cells as well as to adjust the gene expression in cells, and also provides novel compounds included in the said compositions. When the compounds of the following formula (I) and lipid are administrated or supplied to cells together with nucleic acids of genes etc., then the nucleic acids can be efficiently introduced into cells with low cytotoxicity. (R1)n-R2-R3 (I) (Wherein (R1)n, is a polyamino acid residue composed of amino acid residues with total number of n (the amino acid residues may be the same or different, selected from a group consisting of arginine, lysine, and histidine, and n is an integer of 4 to 16), R2 is a single bond or an amino acid residue, and R3 is a phospholipid residue with one or two of the same or different unsaturated C12-20 carbon lipid residue). |
