This invention relates to a liquid crystal sealant for a liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal sealant of this invention includes: (a) a compound having (meta) acryloyl group and glycidyl group, the number average molecular weight of the compound ranging between 500 and 2000; (b) a heat-latent curing agent; (c) a radical polymerization initiator; and (d) a filler. Although the compoment (a) has a high molecular weight, it is highly reactive and has latent curability. Therefore, the compound has low solubility to a liquid crystal, high curability, strong adhesion. By using this liquid crystal sealant to fabricate the liquid crystal display panel, the throughput is high, the adhesion between the fabricating substrate and the hardened liquid crystal sealant is strong, the contamination to the liquid crystal is reduced, and thus the liquid crystal display panel with high quality and high display performance can be provided. |
