abstract The present invention provides a water leakage detection indicator and the detection method, in which the indicator components and the detection method employs the ingots or agents containing pigment. The pigment is water soluble, and when the pigment is placed into the water, the water will be colored, so as to be an agent component for detection. During detection, the ingots are thrown into the water piping, or the agents are injected into the bathroom or floors, so that the colored liquid will permeate from the leakage seams. The water leakage location can be easily and correctly identified by the present invention.
