titleOfInvention | Case for housing solid-state imaging element, manufacturing method thereof, and solid-state imaging device |
abstract | To provide a case for housing a solid-state imaging element that has high rigidity and high quality, a manufacturing method thereof, and a solid-state imaging device that suppresses image distortion by adopting the case. A square groove 2E increases the rigidity of a case body 2A in directions (width direction Y and thickness direction Z) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X so as to suppress warpage. A resin material 2A1 is interposed between a base end 2B10 of an inner lead 2B1 and the square groove 2E. During manufacturing processes, a space filled with the resin material 2A1 serves as a release for resin pressure, and prevents resin from accidentally flowing into a solid-state imaging element mounting region 2DR so as to attain higher quality. After manufacturing, the resin material 2A1 has a function of protecting the base end 2B10 of the inner lead 2B1, and reduces the exposed area of the inner lead that is discontiguous with the exposed area of resin. The case also reduces the occurrence of burrs and the like that such discontiguous regions are likely to have. |
