abstract | The present invention provides a method of manufacturing an optical device, which is useful to a method of manufacturing a resin-sealed light-emitting device. The method of manufacturing a resin-sealed light-emitting device includes, for example, aligning the position of a light-emitting device and an optical element efficiently and accurately. The characteristics of the method of manufacturing the optical device are as follows. First, a matrix having a concave portion and a plate element at least having one penetration hole partially are prepared. Then, under the circumstance that at least one of the penetration holes is opposite to the concave portion of the matrix, a process of arranging the plate element on the matrix is performed. The concave portion is used to mold a first resin into an optical element having a prescribed shape and the plate element is formed by using a second resin. A process of injecting liquid precursor of the first resin into a space formed by the concave portion of the matrix and the penetration hole of the plate element is performed. Under the circumstance that the liquid precursor is kept contacting at least a portion of the plate element, the liquid precursor is polymerized. A process of obtaining an optical device is performed, in which the plate element and the optical element consisting of the first resin used as a polymer of liquid precursor are detached from the matrix. |
