This invention provides an oil in water type emulsion composition which contains: (a) a hydrophobic modified polyetherurethane (associative thickening agent), (b) a hydrophobic powder (e.g. a hydrophobically treated titanium dioxide etc.), (c) a dispersion agent (polyglycerin modified silicone, acrylsilicone, polyoxyalkylene modified silicone etc.), and (d) a thickening polysaccharide (succinoglycan, xanthan gum). The components (a) and (d) are combined with an outer phase (aqueous phase), and components (b) and (c) are combined with an inner phase. As a result the thickening effect which is intrinsic feature of the associative thickening agent can be produced sufficiently in an oil-in-water type emulsified composition containing a powder component, and thus an oil-in-water type emulsified composition which exhibits excellent utility and safety can be provided. |
