titleOfInvention Character input device, device for possessing the same and input method
abstract To provide a character input device capable of simplifying an input operation for obtaining a desired ideogram. The character input device 1 includes; a kanji (Chinese character) dictionary recording part 41 wherein alphabets and kanji characters corresponding to pinyin including them are recorded in association with each other; a candidate extraction part 31 which accepts an alphabet selected by a user and extracts kanji characters associated with this alphabets from the kanji dictionary recording part 41 as candidates for kanji character desired by the user; a candidate order determination part 32 which determines a display order of extracted candidates on the basis of a prescribed condition; and a display control part 22 which outputs data so that candidates are displayed in the determined display order. Consequently, the input operation for obtaining the desired kanji character can be simplified.
