abstract | The present invention relates to an optical plate and a backlight module using the same. The optical plate includes a transparent base. The transparent base includes a light incident surface, a light emitting surface opposite to the light incident surface, and a plurality of elongated recesses formed on the light incident surface. The elongated recesses are filled with a diffusion layer. When the optical plate is used for the backlight module, the lamp tubes of the backlight module are positioned under the elongated recesses correspondingly, thereby the optical plate can diffuse light form the light sources efficiently to attain a good optical uniformity by avoiding appearing high brightness regions adjacent the recesses. |
