titleOfInvention | Method for changing Brewster's angle of optical and electro-optical materials |
abstract | This invention relates to a method for changing Brewster's angle of materials. In this invention a permanent electric dipoles is implanted to a non-magnetic host material so that the new Brewster's angle of the host material will be related to the power of the light wave and the direction of permanent electric dipoles. This invention uses quantum mechanics molecular simulation to determine or design appropriate permanent electric dipoles, and then apply it to transparent materials such as glass or indium-tin-oxide (ITO) to change its Brewster's angle in such a way that the new Brewster's angle will be related to the intensity of the incident light, and thus creating brand new applications in the electro-optical filed. |
