titleOfInvention The fabrication of full color OLED panel using micro-cavity structure
abstract The essential thought of this patent is that a white color OLED without color filter can exhibit high efficiency and high color saturation simultaneously. The full color OLED in this invention is configured with the organic micro-cavity which is formed between top and bottom mirrors in the OLED. The distance between two mirrors is to change the resonant wavelength of emission colors. The design for the micro-cavity, which includes a hole injection layer (HIL), a hole transport layer (HTL), an emission layer (EML) and an electron transport layer (ETL). The resonant wavelength could be controlled by changing the thickness of hole injection layer (HIL) only and other organic layers keep constant to get RGB pixel in full color OLED. From the experiment and simulation results, it is able to attain high luminance efficiency and high color saturation OLED in simple fabrication process.
