titleOfInvention Medicine combination for treat liver fibrosis and prevent cirrhosis
abstract This invention relates to a Chinese medicine shu gan huo shie hua yu formula derived from san bupleurum and cyperus formula used for treating liver fibrosis, especially discloses such shu gan huo shie hua yu formula to resist liver fibrosis and protect chronic liver damage. Shu gan huo shie hua yu formula significantly reduces total collagen quantity contained in the liver of carbon tetrachloride induced rat, as well as reduces the quantity of activated liver astrocytes and α -smooth muscle actin(α -SMA) protein performance quantity. The result of reducing MMP-2 activation with shu gan huo shie hua yu formula shows that the shu gan huo shie hua yu formula has effect on inhibiting the activation of liver astrocytes and reducing synthetic of collagen.
