titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display apparatus and fabrication thereof |
abstract | An LCD apparatus without conventional extending Cs lines. At least one storage capacitor is formed on a lower substrate. The storage capacitor consists of discrete first and second metal layers and a dielectric layer therebetween. The second metal layer overlaps and above part of the second metal layer. The second metal layer connects to a pixel electrode. An insulating spacer is formed on an interior side of an upper substrate and extends into a liquid crystal layer to keep a cell gap thereof. A conformal common electrode is formed on the upper substrate and the insulating spacer to electrically connect to the first metal layer via a discrete transparent conductive layer. |
