abstract | The very-low-density lipoprotein remnant cholesterol in the sample can be quantitative analyzed by reacting the ester type and free type cholesterol in the very-low-density lipoprotein remnant (they are collectically called as very-low-density lipoprotein remnant cholesterol in hereafter) in the sample with the cholesterol ester hydrolase and cholesterol dehydrogenase in the presence of a combine surfactant selected from a group consisting (a) a polyoxyethylene polyoxyalkylene alkyl aryl ether and (b) a polyoxyethylene polyoxybutylene condensate, a polyoxyethylene styrenized phenyl ether and a polyoxyalkylene long chain alkyl ether, which can specifically effect cholesterol ester hydrolase and cholesterol oxidase or cholesterol dehydrogenase, in the presence of (c) a cholesterol ester hydrolase and a cholesteroloxidase or (d) an oxidation type coenzyme, in the aqueous medium containing sample, to produce hydrogen peroxide or a reduction type coenzyme, and quantitative analyzing the produced hydrogen peroxide or reduction type coenzyme. The convinient reagent and kit for this method of quantitative analysis are also provided. |
