titleOfInvention | A molded article of flat board having large thickness and method for preparing the article |
abstract | A molded article of rectangular flat board comprising thermo plastic resin having large thickness prepared by injection molding which is advantageously usable as optical elements, wherein the difference between maximum thickness and minimum thickness of the article is 3% or less. As the thickness of the article is uniform with less unevenness from central portion to edge portion, the fine patterns of depressions and protrusions on the surface of a mold can be transcribed accurately on the surface of the article. The method of preparing afore-said article by injection molding comprises heating a mold in a manner such that the temperatures of at least one pare of opposite edges of a rectangular cavity of a mold for injection molding are kept at temperatures higher than the temperature of central portion of the cavity of the mold by 2 DEG C or more. |
