titleOfInvention | A method for preparing biphenylphosphonate compound |
abstract | A method for preparing biphenylphosphonate compound of formula (I) below is disclosed, wherein n is 2 or 3, and Ar are C6-C16 aromatic substituents. First, an o-phenylphenol and the phosphorus trichloride are heated under the existence of zinc chloride catalyst to obtain the chlorinated biphenyl oxaphosphonites (CDOP) of formula (II); Next, a phenyl phenol compound of formula (III) is added into the chlorinated biphenyl oxaphosphonites of formula (II) to undergo a thermal reaction. Then, a compond of formula (IV) is obtained, wherein n and Ar are defined as the aforesaid. Finally, the compound of formula (IV) is oxidized under the existence of water and ozone to form the product of formula (I). |
