titleOfInvention Method for producing cyclic lactic acid oligomer
abstract This invention provides a method for producing cyclic lactic acid oligomer having desired condensation degree more effectively. In the presence of phosphine, the terminal carboxyl group of the a chain m oligomer of lactic acid (m is an integer of 3 to 15) as a starting material is reacted with compound RSSR'(R and R' are same or different, each respectively represents cyclic or chain organic group) at -100℃ to room temperature, then the n molecules of said oligomers is subject to cyclization reaction, in the presence of catalyst to cyclize n molecules of the oligomers at the terminal carboxy group there of. The condensation degree of the said cyclic lactic acid is controlled by the condensation degree of the starting chain m oligomer of lactic acid, and the product with n-fold of m oligomer is obtained. The product is generally a mixture of (m x n) oligomers (I.e., oligomer having m x n molecules of lactic acid units).
