The invention relates to an optical recording medium comprising a substrate, a reflecting layer and a recording layer based on compounds of formula, G1 and G2 are each independently of the other, A1 and A2 are each independently of the other N(R12), O, S or Se and A3 is C(C1-C5alkyl)2, C(C4-C5 alkylene), N(R12), O, S, Se,N=C(R13) or unsubstituted or R14-substituted CH=CH; M1 is a transition metal of groups IX to XII, preferably Co, Cu, Ni, Pd or Zn, especially Co, Cu or Ni; Q1 and Q2 are each independently of the other C(R15), N or P,…. For the detailed definitions of the further substituents, see the description. Recording and playback are effected especially at a wavelength of from 350 to 500 nm, for example using a blue laser. The recording and playback quality is excellent and allows a high storage density. Also claimed are new compounds of formula (I), with the exception of the compounds disclosed in J. Org. Chem. 67/16, 5753-5772 [2002]. |
