This invention provides a composite insulating material having a dielectric constant of 10 or more which comprises a filler exhibiting two peaks in different ranges of particle diameter in the particle size distribution thereof and having a dielectric constant of 50 or more and an insulating resin; an insulating material having a dielectric constant of 10 or more which comprises 1) one or more fillers selected from the group consisting of barium titanate, strontium titanate, potassium titanate, magnesium titanate, lead titanate, titanium dioxide, barium zirconate, calcium zirconate and lead zirconate, 2) an insulating resin, and 3) a dispersant containing a carboxylic acid group; or an insulating material which comprises a filler having a dielectric constant of 50 or more, a dispersant for dispersing the filler and an insulating resin, in which when a hardened product of the insulating material is subjected to the extraction with water at 120 DEG C for 20 hours by the use of a pressure vessel, the resultant extract exhibits a pH of 6 or higher. |
