abstract This invention provides a method of desalting raw water containing at least a water-soluble salt, characterized by comprising a first step in which water is removed from the raw water containing at least a water-soluble salt to concentrate the raw water and a second step in which at least part of the water-soluble salt is removed from the concentrated raw water. By the method, raw water containing at least a water-soluble salt can be desalted industrially and economically.
