A benzyl compound represented by a general formula (1): (wherein X1 denotes a halogen atom, and R1 denotes an acyl group) is reacted with an haloacyl compound represented by a general formula (2): (wherein X2 denotes a halogen atom, and R2 denotes an acyl group) in the presence of a Lewis acid, to thereby produce a benzylamine derivative represented by a general formula (3): (wherein X1, R1, and R2 have the same meanings as described above) The benzylamine derivative, as a preferred intermediate for producing a carbamate-type agricultural or horticultural disinfectant, may preferably be produced. |
