abstract The present invention relates to a method, preferable an oral method, for treating urinary disorders, such as unstable or overactive bladder, while minimizing the occurrences of dry mouth, dyspeptia and reduced stream of tears. The methods of the present invention comprise orally administering to a mammal, preferably a human, a pharmaceutically effective dose of an antimuscarinic agent, such as tolterodine, when needed, whereby a symptomatic relief of urgency and/or frequency is achieved.
