titleOfInvention | Glass grinding apparatus for grinding glass substrate and glass grinding method |
abstract | This invention provides a glass grinding apparatus for grinding glass substrate and a glass grinding method, for grinding a glass substrate. The glass grinding apparatus includes a glass grinding platen for supporting the glass substrate. Plural guiding channels are formed at the interfacing face of the glass grinding platen and the glass substrate. A driving device supplies power for driving rotation of the glass grinding platen. A slurry supplying device for supplying slurry to the interfacing face of the glass grinding platen and the glass substrate. An auxiliary grinding device for clamping and positioning the glass substrate on the glass grinding platen to cause the surface of the glass substrate to be ground to contact the glass grinding platen. The driving device drives rotation of the polishing platen, which subsequently drives rotation of the auxiliary grinding device to allow the glass grinding platen and the slurry to grind the glass substrate. |
