abstract |
A rotary member such as a moving blade and a discharge electrode containing a hard material such as CBN are placed in a processing liquid or a processing gas. The discharge electrode is molten by producing a pulse type electric discharge between a tip portion of the rotary member and the discharge electrode with a voltage from an electric power source for discharge. A portion of the molten discharge electrode is adhered to the tip portion of the rotary member to form an abrasive coating layer containing the hard material such as CBN. |
