titleOfInvention Game system, game system controlling method and program
abstract This invention provides a network game system capable of exhibiting a feeling of the presence of the game players other than the matching opponent with a light communication load. In a game system which provides a plurality of matching games, a game server (12) is adapted for use in common with a plurality of game terminals. The game server (12) includes a matching pair determining portion (22) for determining the matching pair for the matching game, a matching game start command portion (32) for issuing a matching game start command to each game terminal corresponding to the matching pair determined by the matching pair determining portion (22), a parameter change instruction destination determining portion (26) adapted to receive event content data representing the content of a given game event such as scoring that occurs during the matching game performed at a game terminal in response to the matching game start command and determining the destination of the parameter change instruction corresponding to the event content data, and a parameter change instruction portion (36) adapted to provide parameter change instruction to the destination determined by the parameter change instruction destination determining portion (26).
