abstract | This invention provides a process for continuous production of branched polyarylene sulfides, which comprises pre-polymerizing a sulfur source with a dihalogenated aromatic compound to such an extent that the degree of conversion ratio for the aromatic compound is below 95% and polymerizing the obtained prepolymer in the presence of a branching agent while dispersing the prepolymer in a solvent phase in the form of globular droplets. The globular droplets of the prepolymer can be formed by adding the prepolymer to a solvent phase pre-added with a phase separator. |
