abstract | It is to provide a small-sized, intrabuccally rapidly disintegrating tablet having an excellent property, which exhibits a sufficient hardness not to disintegrate during usual handling, a good disintegrability in oral cavity, and a pleasant feeling in a mouth when administered, which comprises D-mannitol having an average particle diameter of 31 μ m to 80 μ m, an active ingredient, a disintegrant, and stearic acid or a metallic stearate in an amount of 0.01% by weight to 0.5% by weight, and a method for producing an intrabuccally rapidly disintegrating tablet containing stearic acid or a metallic stearate in an amount of 0.01% by weight to 0.5% by weight, which is characterized by tableting the powder material containing D-mannitol having an average particle diameter of 31 μ m to 80 μ m, an active ingredient and a disintegrant, consecutively by an external lubricating compression method, wherein prior to the tableting of the powder material, stearic acid or a metallic stearate as a lubricant is sprayed to adhere onto the punches and the dies, and the unadherent surplus of stearic acid or a metallic stearate sprayed and not used in the tableting is consecutively recovered. |
