titleOfInvention | Polyester binder fibers for papermaking |
abstract | Polyester binder fibers for papermaking have an intrinsic viscosity of 0.35 to 0.49, a single fiber fineness of 1.5 dtex or below and an area shrinkage percentage represented by the following formula of 70% or below when the area before shrinking treatment of a sheet is A0 and the area after the shrinking treatment of the sheet is A1. Herein, the sheet is obtained as follows, the polyester binder fibers are cut to the length of 5 mm, then the polyester binder fibers with 80% by weight and NBKP with 20% by weight are dispersed in the water by thoroughly stirring and mixing them in it, and formed them into the sheet having a size of about 25-cm-square and a basis weight of about 50 g/m2 The shrinking treatment of the sheet is referred to as procedures to dry sheet at room temperature during the period not shorter than 24 hours, then place the dried sheet on a perforated TEFLONR sheet and perform the shrinking treatment under relaxed conditions in a circulating hot air dryer at 140 DEG C for 5 minutes. Sheet area shrinkage percentage (%) = {(A0-A1)/A0}x100. |
