abstract | This invention mentions to a new method for production of Pm-147 because by decaying Nd-147 turns into Pm-147 used in nuclear battery as beta source. Therefore, the production of Nd-147 is carried out by natural neodymium targets bombarded with proton, deuteron, triton, helium-3 and alpha particles accelerated in particle accelerators. This method is mainly regarding cheaper and easier production of Nd-147 on natural neodymium targets to supply Pm-147 radioisotope via particle accelerators instead of the production of Pm-147 with uranium fission in the nuclear reactors. |
