abstract This patent disclosure relates to a system and a method for online detection of dissolved carbon dioxide concentration in a liquid sample. In particular, the dissolved carbon dioxide concentration is determined by determining the conductivity values of the liquid sample and a degassed liquid sample. It is necessary to determine the concentration of dissolved carbon dioxide in the sample, because dissolved carbon dioxide corrodes piping systems, mounting systems and accessories of a boiler. The system and method of the present disclosure also facilitate the reduction of electricity consumption required for the online detection of dissolved carbon dioxide in the liquid sample.
