titleOfInvention Long-term spreading erythromycin derivative formulas.
abstract A pharmaceutical composition for prolonged diffusion of clarithromycin in the gastrointestinal environment, characterized in that it contains (a) clarithromycin, and (b) about 5% to about 50% by weight of a pharmacologically acceptable polymer, and clarithromycin in rapid release compositions when taken orally. It produces a statistically significant lower mean fluctuation index than a rapidly spreading compound of clarithromycin in plasma while providing almost equal biocompatibility.
