abstract New methods for the medical treatment and / or prevention of excessive swelling, abdominal fat, and insulin resistance in sensitive warm blooded animals, including humans, require the application of selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs). A combination of dehydroepiandrosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, androst-5-en-3b, 17b-diol, and a compound selected from the group consisting of in vivo translated compounds to any of the precursors or estrogen, or a combination of a SERM.
