abstract A microcapsule-containing polyurea shell wall and microcapsules containing the substance or substances encapsulated within this wall comprise at least one oligomeric acetal having a part represented by the wall formula (I). The microcapsules are sensitive to acids, and the capsule walls are relatively easily disintegrated or separated by contacting the microcapsules with an acidic compound, preferably an organic or inorganic acid that allows the substance or substances in the capsule to be released into the environment that causes them to be destroyed. The invention is suitable for encapsulation of biologically active compounds and agrochemicals, especially pesticides for pesticides (insecticides).
