In the method for separating precious metals from ore containing precious metals such as gold and silver, precious metals are recycled from an aqueous ammonia separation solution, providing an important, practical and economical method for recovering gold or silver. After the ore is separated with an aqueous ammonia thiosulfate solution, this solution is contacted with an extraction reagent to extract the precious metals, and then a precious metal solution is formed in which the precious metals can be recovered by means of electrolysis, such as electrolysis. Extraction reagents herein are substances with guanidyl function or quaternary amine compounds mixed with a weak acid such as phenol. In this method, new thiosulfate complexes of precious metals are created with gunidil or quaternary amine extractors. |
